What now for Thailand's Tourism Industry?

PreviousPage 2 of 2

I am not sure many western tourists will be happy with a writsband - Big Brother and tracking is not really tourist friendly!

Thank you very much, Michael, this seems to be a very sophisticated approach to reopen with caution. A combination of different instruments. Could be interesting also for Austria. Tomorrow there is an online meeting with the Austrian Minister of Tourism and the Austrian Chancellor - I will tell about the Thai way of which we could learn 😉

Well, I didn't read yet the information about the writsband. Well, Austrians prefer to publish all their intimate data on facebook or twitter already while protesting against a vaccination card...
But I think, that chinese customers will feel very familiar with that writsband 🙂

Thanks Michael. Actually an interesting way of recovery while taking the track of sustainability is the "Rural Vision Week: Imagining the future of Europe’s rural areas"

https://enrd.ec.europa.eu/news-events/events/rural2040-vision-week_en

The European Network for Rural Development (ENRD), in close cooperation with the European Commission, is organising a virtual event - ‘Rural Vision Week: Imagining the future of Europe’s rural areas’ between 22 and 26 March 2021.

Rural Vision Week is now open – apply to register here by 15 March 2021!

This interactive event will include high level presentations and discussions, a marketplace, workshops and ‘fringe’ activities. These will involve European stakeholder participants in working together to contribute to the preparation of a long term Vision for the future of EU rural areas in relation to which the Commission is scheduled to adopt a Communication later this summer.

Come and visit the ‘virtual stalls’ in ‘OUR RURAL’ Marketplace! Throughout Rural Vision Week, the ENRD Contact Point will provide space on our website for rural stakeholders, local communities, EU organisations, research projects and others to present aspects of their rural vision. Stay tuned for updates.
